Every first Wednesday of the month they sound an air raid siren over Prague. It always startles recent expats, as at the end there is a recording of man speaking in Czech. People tend to fear that maybe the Russians are coming. It was especially eerie in the winter, when most stay indoors due to wet, cold, and snow.
